学院英语俱乐部启动会员招募

2010年4月25日，学院“我爱英语”俱乐部和“自由英语”俱乐部报名工作正式启动。英语俱乐部的成立，旨在建立纯英文的交流环境，推动校园跨文化交际氛围，帮助提高英语综合能力，扩宽视野与信息渠道，并鼓励同学们表达、表现自己。以上两个英语俱乐部将由我院外教担任召集人，负责日常活动的组织。学院国际交流与合作中心作为主办单位将承担日常的协调与监督管理职能，并于每学期初组织会员招募。本期英语俱乐部将按照报名先后顺序进行会员招募，共计60名会员（两个俱乐部分别30人），英语俱乐部不收取任何会费，招满为止。本学期英语俱乐部活动将于5月10日正式开始。

Why Join Us?

This semester, International Exchanges and Cooperation Center establishes two English clubs for students. The ultimate goal of the clubs is to create an atmosphere with pure English. We believe it is crucial to instill into the students a sense of using idiomatic English by way of communication with their peers. Members of the clubs enjoy the chances to attend a bi-weekly workshop, sharing life experiences, acquiring knowledge of English pronunciation or intonation and enriching the minds through talking with native speakers. Our clubs are participant-centered and team-focused. We advocate the vigor of individuals and a strong team spirit.

Club Requirements:

1. Participants should be active and courageous in speaking English and communicating ideas.

2. The admissions process terminates when the enrolment amount to 30 students for each club.

3. Club members should strictly obey the attendance regulation. Members absent for three times during one semester will be disqualified for the club.

4. All members should speak only English at club-time occasion.
