On February 28, 2024, MWC Barcelona, CMCC together with GSMA and global industry partners jointly released the RedCap Commercial Promotion Action Initiative. Yuxing Tian (2nd from left), Vice President of CICT Mobile, attended the conference.
Currently, CICT Mobile has achieved remarkable results in 5G-A core technologies such as high-capacity communication, Redcap, deterministic network, and Integrated Sensing and Communication, etc. RedCap, with its key features such as 5G high reliability, low latency and large capacity, and its ability to reduce terminal cost and power consumption, has become an important solution for IoT applications, accelerating the expansion of 5G commercial.
In August 2023, CICT Mobile joined China Mobile's RedCap "1+5+5" Innovation Demonstration City Program. In Shiyan, Hubei province, CICTM cooperated with CMCC to build a 5G RedCap demonstration network, supporting CMCC's 2.6GHz/4.9GHz and /700MHz 5G frequency bands, meeting the requirements of various indexes and successfully completing the convergence tests with network slicing and other 5G features.
In addition, at MWC 2024 in Barcelona, CICT Mobile also demonstrated the FWA2.0 solution incorporating Redcap. In the future, CICT Mobile will be committed to accelerating the application of 5G RedCap in the electric power, industrial, and vehicle networking industries, creating a 5G RedCap demonstration benchmark, and accelerating the commercial network.
