On January 12, 2022, CSL promotion play-offs came to an end, and Chengdu Rongcheng successfully advanced to CSL 2022 season with a 2-1 aggregate score over Dalian People in both rounds! Following the intense competition for eight months, Chengdu Rongcheng finally brought Chengdu football back to the stage of China's top league after ten years with its own efforts.
