Hylands Provides Permanent Legal Services to China Foundation for Human Rights Development

With the high level of professional ability in the field of charity and public welfare, Hylands was invited as the permanent legal advisor of China Human Rights Development Foundation. With years of experience in serving public interest organizations, Yipeng JIA's team of Hylands has performed an in-depth and systematic study of charity laws, and accordingly, has comprehensively and systematically reviewed the scope of business and risk points of the Foundation. To facilitate the management of the foundation's contracts, the team lawyers developed and reviewed different types of contract templates based on the business demands of the foundation; at the same time, they also sorted out the entire aspects of the work related to charitable public welfare donations and created a legal manual for the Foundation, with tips on the risks that may be encountered in each aspect. In the future, Hylands lawyers will also offer legal services related to value preservation and operation and maintenance for the Foundation. 

As the permanent legal advisor of China Foundation for Human Rights Development, Hylands provides professional legal services by Partner Yipeng JIA and Partner Yiwei ZHUO. Over the years, has been committed to safeguarding the interests of charitable foundations and has provided legal services for many large charitable organizations such as the China Red Cross Foundation, the China Children and Youth Foundation and the China Foundation for Human Rights Development, and has actively responded to the call of the Party Central Committee to "attach importance to the role of the third distribution and the development of charitable and other social welfare undertakings" and contributed to the legal and compliance development of charitable public welfare undertakings. 

The China Foundation for Human Rights Development is a national public fundraising foundation under the supervision of the Information Office of the State Council, and is mainly engaged in international exchanges, education and training, theoretical research, and public welfare charity efforts in the field of human rights, and is registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China. Over the years, the China Foundation for Human Rights Development has focused on the objectives of the organization, promoted the development of economic, social and cultural rights, human rights education and training, cultural heritage and promotion of human rights, protection of human rights and rule of law, poverty alleviation, as well as assistance to specific groups, participated in promoting the global human rights agenda, continuously expanded and deepened international exchanges and cooperation in the field of human rights, and has become an influential human rights social organization at home and abroad. In 2020, it was granted special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
