Diverting treatment fluids to target zones and increasing oil production rate are crucial in acid stimulation of complex sandstone formations. MGA used in sandstone stimulation treatment not only divert acids to provide zonal coverage, but also behaves as relative permeability modifier to increase oil production and reduce water-cut. Operational simplicity and non-damaging nature of MGA reduces operational risks and improves flowback of treatment fluids.

UniFrac fluids are often utilized whenever normal crosslinked guar and derivatives are not readily available. UniFrac fluid is composed of metal crosslinked polyacrylamides. The robust crosslink chemistry leads to many advantages of UniFrac systems compared to conventional borate or zirconium crosslinked guar or guar derivative systems.

Surfactant molecules tend to form larger micelles with viscoelastic properties. Optimal fracturing properties can be achieved by utilizing surfactant chemical technologies. Compared to conventional crosslinked guar fracturing fluids, SurFrac presents better fluid properties with less friction pressure, minimal formation and fracture damage, and simple field operational procedures. The table below summarizes the characteristics and benefits of SurFrac systems.

SGA fluids consist of HCl mixed with a gelling agent and a pH sensitive crosslinker. SGA fluids can block the growth of wormholes by temporarily forming a gel barrier (crosslinked gel) in the wormhole while the acid reacts with carbonate rocks, thereby reducing the loss of fluid from the wormholes. SGA is designed for homogeneous stimulation of the formations in order to maximize the production of the carbonate oil or gas reservoirs.

Friction Reducing Agent KHF027LV is a slurry of an anionic high molecular weight polyacrylamides. Conventional Friction Reducers (FR) lower the pumping friction when the fluid is pumped at a high rate. However, it will not give viscosity and viscoelasticity for the fluid and thus, the proppant suspension capability is low. Unlike the regular FR, the High Viscosity Friction Reducer (HVFR) not only reduces friction, but also provides viscosity to the fluid resulting in better proppant suspension. More than 70% of the friction reduction can be achieved within one minute when the friction reducer is introduced to the mix water. The table below summarizes the characteristics and benefits of HVFR systems.
